Male Fertility Treatment
PESA
Percutaneous Epididymal Sperm Aspiration does not require surgery but uses a small needle to penetrate the epididymis. This technique can be used as the most effective first approach to collecting sperm when there is a blockage in the sperm duct. The results of the sperm obtained from the PESA procedure can be used in the IVF process.
MicroTESE
MicroTESE (Microdissection Testicular Sperm Extraction) was performed in the case of men who had problems with sperm production and the semen analysis showed azoospermia. This procedure is performed under general anesthesia and surgery using a microscope. During the procedure, a small incision will be made in the testicle to evaluate the tubules that contain sperm. If the microTESE results only get young sperm, then ROSI ( round spermatid injection ) can be done during the IVF program.
TESA
Testicular Sperm Aspiration (TESA) is performed if no sperm is found from PESA procedure. This procedure is performed under local anesthesia followed by a needle injection directly into the testicular tissue. After the TESA procedure, the sperm obtained can be stored for preparation for IVF.
