Intracytoplasmic Sperm Injection

One Egg + One Sperm = ICSI

ICSI Procedure

ICSI (Intracytoplasmic Sperm Injection) helps many couples with male fertility issues whereby sperms are of poor motility or a lot of sperms are damaged. Instead of sperm having to fight its way into the egg to fertilize it, our embryologists will give the sperm a helping hand by selecting the sperm under a microscope and inject it directly into the center of the egg.

After ICSI and before embryo transfer, Laser Assisted Hatching (LAH) is a technique that can be performed to increase the IVF/ICSI cycle success rates. LAH is especially useful in cases with elevated basal Follicle Stimulating Hormone (FSH), 2 or more previous unsuccessful IVF cycles and embryos with thick cell wall.
